PostHog EU Cloud and Vercel Web Analytics measure website usage without analytics cookies. PostHog uses cookieless mode without storing analytics identifiers in cookies, local storage or session storage. It uses a server-side daily rotating hash for approximate audience/session measurement. We collect allowlisted page, scroll, active-time, click and conversion events; no session recordings, person profiles, form values or cross-day visitor identification. No analytics cookie banner is displayed. Cookieless processing still has data-protection requirements, explained in the Privacy Policy. Hosting/security infrastructure also processes ordinary connection metadata.

Polar checkout and its portal may use necessary, fraud-prevention or preference cookies under https://polar.sh/legal/privacy. GitHub and other external sites may set cookies on their domains. We cannot control them.

Theme, workspace references, trial timestamp, licence state, updates and analytics choice stay locally and are not browser cookies. Keys use macOS Keychain. Optional Aptabase app analytics use a short session identifier and a daily rotating server identifier; disable future events in Settings → Privacy & Analytics.

Website analytics are skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also block PostHog and Vercel analytics requests using a browser content blocker, or contact help@themarkdowneditor.app to object. Vercel may use deployment-specific collection paths, so blocking only /_vercel/insights/ may not stop its requests. The website preloader may use session storage to skip a repeated intro; this is separate from analytics and contains no visitor identifier. Manage or clear website data and third-party cookies in your browser. Blocking third-party cookies may affect Polar. We do not sell or share data for behavioural advertising. Before introducing analytics cookies or other tracking that requires consent, we will update these disclosures and provide the required controls.
