# The Markdown Editor

> A native, minimal Markdown editor for macOS. It opens and edits plain .md files in the folders you already use, renders Markdown properly as you write, and keeps everything local on your Mac.

- Platform: macOS only, native app. Requires macOS Tahoe 26 or later.

- Updates: signed updates install from inside the app (Sparkle).
- Files: stay on your Mac as ordinary Markdown files, edited in place. No proprietary library or format.
- Pricing: 29 EUR once for Lifetime. Includes future Mac versions and up to 3 Macs. New installations opened after the launch window get a 3-day free trial with no payment method required.
